About
Director and Founder Cheryl Burgoyne is an experienced family and child protection practitioner and senior manager with extensive experience within highly regulated environments, including licensed care services. She has contributed to the wellbeing of families and children for over 19 years in both the state government and not for profit sectors – from frontline practice to the management of programs encompassing family support, counselling, foster and kinship care, residential care and youth justice.
Prior to working within the child protection and family intervention space, Cheryl worked in the disability and aged care sectors.
The founding of Leaning In Consultancy Pty Ltd was borne from a desire to draw on the breadth of her experience and contribute to the sector more broadly. Cheryl has a keen eye for detail with the capacity to link to broader systems. Amongst the “noise” of the complexity, she endeavours to maintain a focus on the experiences and voices of those receiving services to inform decision making and continuous improvement.
